I don't own this webtoon at all. All rights for the images go to the author but the belong to me. YES! I finally finished it. You can't imagine the countless struggles I went thru with this. I think my computer restarted itself at least 3 times while I was working on this, which means I had to re-do it every time, haa~
I´ll publish the english translation of mangas I like to read that I can´t find in english. I won't be taking requests, else there won't be an end. I also don't have a release schedule I'm not a group and I ask you not to pressure me too much, I do it because I want to. I know I´m slow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Thanks a lot for your hard work.
ReplyDeletethank you so much! i hope you can translate the rest! really wanted to read Baek in ho's storyline in this
ReplyDeletethanks a bunch for the translation. you are an angel!!
ReplyDeleteSang Chul sunbae is killing me.
ReplyDeleteBut I don't understand why she said "they were both my fantasy" . Does that means being with them was like being in an imaginary world?_?
But the BEST PART of this ending is definitely Oh young Gon being the underling of Euntaek. So much satisfiying.
I think when she said "they were both my fantasy", seol referred to both of them suddenly come to her life and make her "boring" life more colorful. remember in early season 4, seol was happy when she's with sunbae. because she can escape reality and having fun without worrying about grades.
Deletethank you so much for all of the efforts!
ReplyDeleteAfter 7 years, it's finally over!!! T____T I'm so excited for the movie!!
ReplyDeleteUgh, when Bak Inha telling her best day, that got me feels T_T
ReplyDeleteThanks for your hard work Niik. Really really appreciate it :D
I like your notes on the chapter Niiik
ReplyDeleteand yor comment on Sang chul cracked me up haha
Going to re read the entire webtoon. WHOS WITH ME??!!
ReplyDeleteHell yeah!
DeleteMe too!!
DeleteAnd the end left me overwhelmed with so much feelings , I finished this roller coaster ride safely don't I deserve a prize like a special real Jung pop out of screen for me XP.
ReplyDeleteThank your so much Niik! You are the best!
ReplyDeleteahhhh my heart hurts but thank you so much for your hard work!!
ReplyDeleteThank you!!! Man, I won't deny I shed a little tear seeing this chapter haha
ReplyDeleteBut I'm somewhat satisfied and happy, and really looking forward to the epilogue!
Also, part of me wishes the upcoming movie focuses more in their life *after* this chapter, with flashbacks here and there about the events of the webtoon, dunno, that'd be an interesting take on the story, though I highly doubt they'll take that route.
I'm gonna miss my wednesdays so much!
If I am not mistaken, Sonkii will write the script and the movie will focus their life after the ending of the webtoon. It is all answer given to those who criticize that impossible to fit 4 seasons into 1,5 hour movie. Also people comment how the casts look too older to play students
DeleteIf that's true, then that's AWESOME!! Thanks for the news :D
DeleteOMG!!! You're more than just good...You're Awesome!!! I haven't even read the chapter yet!
ReplyDeleteI just needed to thank you first!
Thank you soooooooooo much!
Oh Young Gon being the underling of Eun Taek. Hah, sweet, that is so satisfying.
ReplyDeleteThat evil smile on Eun Teak's face was PRICELESS!!! lol
DeleteI just love the moments when Jung holds Sul's face or pet her head...With everyone in her family treating her like an adult and always expecting her to be strong, I think it reminds Sul of her grandma, and I think it explains the "holding hand" thing. With him she can act like a little girl again.
ReplyDeleteI think the author 'burned' the drama writers when she made Sul say "I don't like the Oppa nickname". Do you guys remember the subway scene in the drama where Sul repeatedly called Inho Oppa? LOL
ReplyDeleteLOL OH GOSH--
DeleteLOL!!! You are right. Yoo Jong is always Sul's and our sunbae ;)
DeleteThank u for your translation. So from this end, I assumed after chap 73, Seol and Jung did not break up. Seol extended her hand to Jung. They just became too busy to meet each other. I already assumed that when Kyunghwan and Jungwoo graduated (Kyunghwan is Jung's best buddy, so if Jung and Seol broke up, he won't ask both of them to attend his graduation cause it will be awkward).
ReplyDeleteNow I'm waiting for the movie... and the webtoon to finish on my country
First and last, thank you for the superb job you did translating all of this. As I said before, I had a panicked feeling when I came to Season 4 on Never and there were no overtoons. I don't even remember how I found you, but I'm so glad I did.
ReplyDeleteNow, to the ending. This chapter felt like an epilogue to me, so I don't know what to expect next week. I still think that soonki manipulated her readers not in a good way with those two previous chapters. They put too much distance between the important event of the fight and now. She left her readers on a cliff, and instead of resolving it, she let us hang. I suppose that would be okay if the actual ending matched that chapter in drama and tension. But it didn't. Yes, I'm really happy that he's there and that they didn't break up, but the line, "I guess we've just been too busy to get together," just does NOT cut it! It does not explain all that empty space of the previous two chapters. I'm left with a feeling of dissatisfaction and a kind of emptiness. She lost the rhythm, the drama, and the tension with that two chapter interlude. It was not suspenseful, nor did it build anticipation. It was just there. And so was this 'finale.'
After years of following this, it's kind of like postpartum depression, I guess. Only there's no laughing bundle of joy to ease it.
Oh well, I'm glad she let them get back together.
Oh!!! I think what is missing is what was going on with Jung all this time!! If she had done something to show what he was doing, it might not seem like such an empty dragged-out thing. Just my thoughts.
I'm grateful for her story--and for Park Hae Jin in the drama. I'm grateful for her years long effort and creativity. And I'm very grateful for your dedicated part in bring this to us English speakers.
Thank you again.
exactly my feelings!!!
DeleteNow waiting to watch CITT movie & Park Hae Jin as Yoo Jong
I don't really like the ending. My first thought was that she created suspense for suspense's sake, and cut out moving scenes in the process.
DeleteBut after multiple re-reads, I think Soonkki was saying that what's really important for the story is the personal growth, not shipping, and we don't need them to end up together for it to be a win, and, if not a happy story, at least not a tragedy.
And then, just when you're getting resigned to that, you find out she and Jung are still together after all. Which is nice.
Still, I kind of wish she'd just gonna ahead and narrated the ending in a straight forward chronological manner.
I'm happy they didn't break up but... it kind of anti-climatic. Idk it just left me wanting, not really a satisfied feeling. I wanted to see the intense scene continued, to see how exactly she answered him. It's too bad we didn't get to... And there's too much of other characters in this chapter, I wanted one dedicated to Jung and Sul. I'm eagerly waiting for the epilogue though.
ReplyDeleteOh My God what a ride!!! thank you so much for your effort! really, you're such an angel I'm so grateful :'D
ReplyDeleteAlthough the Baeks and Jung's misunderstandings were never really solved, I think it's very realistic. Among hundreds of hundreds problems and issues that you may face in life, some of them may not be resolved forever. That's okay. You should try to solve them but some of them are probably meant to be buried and forgotten. If you try to solve ALL of them, it will burn you out and you will not be able to enjoy your life.
It's a good thing for them to actually talked about it although in the end they still stand on what they believe. Ultimately they move on and live their lives peacefully.
And I'm so happy to see Jung finally look fresher and more animated. He used to be so cold with poker face and fake smile. Now his expressions seem genuine and ahhhh I just wanna hug and congratulate both Sul and Jung. Relationship is a hardwork and they certainly did their best. Their relationship, albeit strange, but feels very specific and real. It's a love story like no other. Soonkki is a genius. I wonder if she is Seol IRL lol.
In the end, again, I'm so thankful of your effort in translating all of these chapters. Thank You so much and I wish you good things in life! sorry for the long ass comment lol this webtoon is too much of a masterpiece! ✨
Wow! It's finally finish. I'm glad it's a different ending from the drama. This is a lot more satisfying. Thank u so much for sharing ur translations with us. It helped me through alot with the anticipation of reading the whole series.
ReplyDeleteIt was such a great story and it had a fitting ending. Thank you so much for this, I appreciate you taking time to do this for us fans.
ReplyDeleteThankyou very much for you hard work 😘😘😘
ReplyDeletethank you!! after chapter 75 I stopped going to your blog bcs I was so disappointed and thought that it was the definitive ending. So glad I live to see this chapter, it's a satisfying closure. And thank you for translating!
ReplyDeleteThank you.... you goddess you saved some lives(not only mine) by doing this. Love u...god bless you ....have nice warm life..!!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your hard work! I cried at the end of this chapter, the series meant a lot to me, so I really do appreciate your translations.
ReplyDeleteFound your blog yesterday and I burned through all the available translations. You are such an angel!! I wish the official English translation would be as diligent as you. Thank you so much for all your effort in this!
ReplyDeleteHey I'm just wondering will there be any season 5 or is the series completely finished?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, this was it. There won't be anymore seasons
DeleteI still wish I could've seen their future. I still can't believe it's over and it's been months already. I'm so depressed whenever I read this. I'm not satisfied with the ending but, I'll take it over no ending.
ReplyDeleteHope Soonki makes another webtoon series soon. Another slice of life about a guy perhaps? I've taken a liking to her art style and story telling. Maybe we'll get a JungxSul cameo.
Now that I have read the ending (I still am missing parts of season 3 and a little of 4) but I have read, and re-read this story many many times. I feel so sad, and happy for the ending, but sad and empty! I wish Inho could have been friends with them and stayed around, I really loved his relationship with Sul. I wanted her to be with Jung, but I liked her friendship with Inho. I know this comic is based on real life more, so I do enjoy how it ended. But, I still feel so sad!! Like when a good book ends, and you keep thinking about it. End of my rant, no one else I talk to knows about Cheese in the Trap, so I can't express my sadness about it to them. Loved the comic, thanks for the translations<3333
ReplyDeletehonestly, thank you so much for translating this. Gosh, I feel so empty after finishing this-- I really fricking love Jung ugh what a ride.
ReplyDeleteI have no one to ramble on about CITT either haha,, but man I love this comic so much, it was well written and the development was fantastic. Ah man I feel so sad ughhh
Two days ago I encountered this in my feed and decided to read it again (it's been years). I burned through 3 seasons in 24 hours and was panicking about how I would get to continue the story. I burned through S4 at work today and wow! This story had me on an emotional roller coaster. One moment I would be squealing at Jung's overwhelming cuteness, the other moment I'm screaming for the Grim Reaper to bring Sang Chul to where he truly belongs and the other moment I'm crying my eyes out. I remembered why I fell in love with CITT in the first place. I see myself so much in Seol, flaws and all. The mistakes they made were all so relatable, human and realistic. Thank you for your hard work in translating this. I'm gonna check out more of your blog. Hopefully I can find a link or something to make a donation because I understand how hard it is to do something like this. <3 Jung-Sul forever!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for translating the season 4 of CITT. I love this webtoon so freaking much, and i've been looking for translations since last year (because naver translates too slow). That's why i'm really grateful to you and oddsquad for translating all of this. Thank you for all the hard work ❤️ You guys are the best!
ReplyDeleteThanks NIIIK a lot. Going through your blog has become a daily habit of mine now a days.
ReplyDeleteI just love jung and sul. Park hae-jin has really done a great job with this character.
Uhmm.. you've probably already seen this but just in case:
ReplyDeletehttps://comic.naver.com/webtoon/detail.nhn?titleId=721260&no=27
Looks like Seol cut her hair :)
sorry, I know its been so long but I just finished reading this now but... the issue between Inho and Jung, it was never resolved? Because in the end, it was Inha who ratted on to his father rather than Inho right?
