So that whole alternative universe thing was Sul's dream. From what I saw, last chapter it was about how things would have gone if she had handled things differently and everyone had made "the right" decision.
And this chapter was about what would have happened if Jung had been straightforward with her instead of doing it the way he did it, nedlessly to say things didn't go very well when he did that.
But it's not a continuous loop, It's been months since what happened with Jung that day and I think she's back for her Senior year (Jung was right being scared, Sul can be cold af). But of course we still don't know what happened or how she answered, but you can make your conclusions for the meantime.

DeleteOh... so I guess they DID break up. What Jung said maybe was "I just wanted to make you happy... I don't want to end up hurting you... Because I like you..." => "So... we should break up"? Being Mr.Nice guy huh? Sul might say yes because she was confused. They need time for their own. Then, a new semester begins, she feels strange and empty, that's why she had this dream, about how everything would have been. And yes, I agree with you, this is not a continuous loop, this is reality...
ReplyDeleteI already expected them to break up (and I still hope eventually they will get back together). Just this whole dream-time jump-not showing us the end of the conversation yet-thing leaves me rather empty and annoyed.

ReplyDeleteI was waiting for this conversation and all Soonki does is time skip.... that really ticks me off especially after waiting 2 weeks for last weeks chapter only for it to be a "dream" and now waiting another week only to find out Soonki skipped everything. I'm surprised the naver ratings weren't 7.00 instead of 9.84. It usually is 9.98.
It's an anticlimatic kind of thing.... it's like having a story where a guy finally tells the girl his secret only for the author to go "screw you readers, ya gotta wait more" and then skips the entire thing.... Good loyd..... I swear if Soonki ends this series with them breaking up off screen only for Sul to see Jung again and he smiles.... "the end"........ would be the lamest thing in the world....

ReplyDeleteit is just lame to show a dream then time skip and go back to that conversation i believe this delay has it's reason and Soonki has better way to show Sul's reaction otherwise it would be better if she just let us see it as it is without all the nonsense .
things should be settled now right ? I mean their 1-relationship position 2- Jung coming to term with his (self/family/surrounding)
either Soonkki is calculating and love to dance around with our emotions (which is not new lol) or is it going to conclude badly. I try not to assume..but I leave my thoughts open, I've been too use to her writing enough to feel no anger"her we go again". Though frustration will always be there
ReplyDeleteAnyway for this chapter will be either direction. I'm so use to k-drama writing? with always dramatic climatic sad endings..if it happen to be like that. Then I'll close my eyes and remain neutral.
People are upset right now, because they want to quickly find out what happened, rather than wait weeks, but I'm confident that these chapters will be precious little morsels, particularly to re-readers, once the series has been completed.

ReplyDeleteIn all my days of reading CITT I have NEVER IN MY ENTIRE LIFE hated a chapter.... I've found some boring because they were just flashbacks... but usually they were consistent and kept the flow of the story quite well..... UNTIL NOW.
ReplyDeleteLast weeks chapter was sooooo disappointing but at least the beginning part showed crying Jung and I thought Sul was imagining life without Jung..... but now in this chapter there is a time skip and more "dreaming" going on.... it totally skipped the interesting parts and now readers and I are concerned that Soonki is high or gone nuts by skipping a very CRUCIAL part in her story....!!!
Can you imagine Harry Potter about to fight Voldemort or whatever and then all of a sudden Harry starts dreaming and they time skip the whole fight???? Or in Titanic when Rose and Jack are on the sinking ship only for a time skip to happen and Rose is laying on a floating block in the water??? Sorry... I tried to think of a popular title and these popped in my head.
Seriously all this delaying what?? The ending? How many years have we been following this webtoon.
